Kendell Aaron Hartman, 23, of Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015. He was born in Johnson City on November 17, 1992.
Kendell was a student at East Tennessee State University. He worked part-time at Amec Construction. He was an avid motorcycle rider. He attended Unaka Baptist Church.
Kendell was preceded in death by a brother, Matthew Hartman; his paternal grandfather, Crawford Garland; his maternal grandfather, George Thomas; one aunt, Tammy Renee Garland; and one uncle, Michael Thomas.
Survivors include his parents, Kendell and Cindy Thomas Hartman; two brothers, Hayden Hartman, Elizabethton, and Joshua Woodby, state of Washington; two sisters, Juliette Otto and husband David, Memphis, and Brittany Bates and husband John, Elizabethton; his paternal grandmother, Glenda Garland, Elizabethton; his maternal grandmother, Shentonta Hardin, Johnson City; his maternal great-grandmother, Edith Thomas, Hampton; his uncles, Craig Thomas, Fred Thomas and wife Nikki and Clifton Thomas and wife Krystal, Christopher Thomas and Patrick Thomas; and his aunts, Georgia Thomas and Sherri West.
Funeral services for Kendell Aaron Hartman will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, December 21, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Walker Roberson officiating. Interment will follow in the Blevins Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be his Motorcycle Buddies. There will be a Memorial Ride Monday morning on the snake. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at the residence.
