Herman David King Jr., 62, of Hampton, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at his residence.
He was born June 17, 1954 in Carter County to Herman David King Sr. and the late Beulah Stevens King, who died October 25, 1996.
Mr. King was an electrician. He was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Cameron Stone; a sister, Jennifer King; and a brother, Donnie King.
Survivors include three daughters, Erica Dawn King, Amber Verna King and Kelli Starr King; four grandchildren; his brothers and sisters, Gary King and wife Dana, Ronnie King, Debbie King and husband Frank, Cindi King, Dina Coulter and husband Jimmy, Traci Williams, Brian King, Regina Livingston and husband Jeff, Mikki King and Brandon King; several nieces and nephews; and his special friend who was like a brother to him, Larry Kavanaugh.
A memorial service for Herman David King Jr. will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 30, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Benny Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to his caregiver, Ronnie King, and the staff of the Johnson City Medical Center.
