The Elizabethton Police Department is investigating a theft case and is asking for the public’s help to identify possible suspects in the incident.
On Sunday, officers of the EPD received a report that a vehicle had been stolen from the parking lot of the Roadrunner Market, located at 1258 Milligan Highway, at around 1 p.m. The vehicle is described as a black 1997 Nissan Maxima with a spare tire on the passenger side front. At the time the vehicle was stolen it was displaying a Virginia license plate.
Investigators with the EPD are attempting to identify a male and female who were captured on video surveillance at the convenience store. EPD Capt. Joy Shoun said the man and woman seen in the images from the security camera are suspected of being involved in the theft of the vehicle. Shoun said the subjects are believed to frequent the Milligan area and may be known to drive or be associated with someone who drives a gold Chevrolet Malibu sedan.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Elizabethton Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at (423)547-6415 or (423)547-6250.
