A child was hospitalized following an accident on East G Street in Elizabethton Wednesday afternoon.
According to Elizabethton Police Department Sgt. Doug Combs, witnesses saw a child cross the roadway near a bush, which hindered the line of vision for the child and driver of a gold Ford Focus, causing the incident, which took place between 3:30 – 4 p.m. The child was taken to a local hospital while no charges have been filed at this time.
The accident was still under investigation prior to the Elizabethton Star’s press deadline. A report from the incident was scheduled to be available Thursday morning.
