“They all have put together a great career here at T.A. Dugger,” said Jr. Lady Cyclones head coach Ethan Gouge. “They have all came together as a class which was evident today. They are just a great group of athletes and team leaders.”

The Jr. Lady Cyclones didn’t waste any time as TAD’s Skylyn Wheeler fired in a goal with 26:09 left to go in the first half.

Roughly 10 minutes later, TAD was on the board again as Norris knocked in a goal off an assist to give the Jr. Lady Cyclones a 2-0 lead with 15 mins left to go in the half.

The last goal in the first half came from the foot of TAD’s Dana Holsclaw, who drove in for an unassisted goal to give her team a 3-0 lead heading into the half.

Just like the first half, the Jr. Lady Cyclones got things started in a hurry as Wheeler nailed a goal to move her team’s lead to 4-0.

With 16:32 left in the game, Jr. Lady Cyclones’ Emma Honeycutt blasted one in from far out to give TAD a 5-0 edge.

Churchill finally got on board with 7:45 left to play as Allie Howe scored a goal to move the score to 5-1.

TAD’s final goal of the night came from Savannah Farris, who popped one in off an assist from Wheeler.

Churchhill’s Howe scored one more in extra time to make the final total 6-2.

“We were able to use space and pass well,” said Gouge. “That has been a goal for us this year. It was nice to see that come together. We also had some great finishing.”

The Lady Cyclones will begin postseason play this Monday.
