The transition to a new location has been well-received for Elizabethton Collision Center.
After setting up shop on State Line Road in the city, the business recently made the transition on US 19E beside Blackberry Market and Climate Controllers.
With the different vehicles on the lot, Brittney Madden and Matthew George of Elizabethton Collision Center have liked what they’ve seen so far.
“The biggest thing is we’re getting more traffic through this area,” George said. “There’s more room, room for expansion later and it’s just a nice and newer facility. We’ve been having a lot more people stop in and see us.”
Madden was quick to second sentiments of George.
“It’s been going really well,” Madden said. “People have responded very well to the transition. They don’t have a problem finding it. Before, it was a problem trying to explain on how to get over to State Line (Road), whereas here, everyone knows where the drive-in and Blackberry Market is. That’s been real big for us.”
Staying busy is nothing new to the business, Elizabethton Collision Center opened up on January 18 on State Line Road.
“We took over the building from Meredith Brothers,” George said. We’ve been very fortunate during that time and there wasn’t enough down time. We’ve been very blessed with the work.”
The location’s premise provides more room to perform work, George added.
The new location has also allowed the business to branch off into two separate buildings. While work will take place in the bigger garage, estimates and information will be handle inside the office, which is adjacent to the garage.
“We had our body shop and front office in the same building,” George said. “Now, customers are able to stay away from the noise, dust and all sorts of those things. It’s a lot cleaner environment for the customers, too. They don’t have to come through the shop now to get into the office.”
And having a new location means new equipment for employees, Madden said, allowing providing more service to customers and the community.
“We’ve got all new equipment,” Madden said. “That’ll definitely help us streamline production. Having the new equipment is a better way of serving the customers.”
“It’s take our turnaround times and shorten them,” George added. “We’ll be able to produce quite a bit of work for jobs. It seems like everybody is happier coming in to go to work.”
Elizabethton Collision is currently operating from their location, but Madden and George both added that Meredith Brothers’ towing company will soon follow suite within the month.
“It’s been a great partnership with Meredith Brothers,” George said. “They’re great about towing in vehicles and have been great to work with.”
The joys of camaraderie is an item the business takes seriously. Being able to provide a service is something the business looks to continue to do for the future.
“It’s very nice to be able to do the work for the people,” George said. “Everybody seems very appreciative of the job we do … it makes everything worthwhile.”
