Larry Dean Julian

ELIZABETHTON — Larry Dean Julian, 69, passed away during the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at Johnson City Medical Center. Larry was born on December 23, 1946 to the late Paul and Pauline (Miller) Julian in Elizabethton, Tenn. Larry graduated from Elizabethton High School, went to technical school, and joined the Air Force.
Larry met his wife, Carolyn, in 1972, in Florida, where they lived for most of their marriage. In 1981, he started working at Marquette Electronics (later known as G.E.), where he worked on medical equipment until his retirement in 2009. After his retirement, Larry and Carolyn would spend their summers in Tennessee, while living in Florida for the rest of the year.
Larry attended church at Deltona Christian Church in Deltona, Fla., and also at Free Will Baptist Church in Hampton, Tenn. Larry was accomplished at woodworking and was often in his workshop making everything from beautiful picture frames to shelves, cabinets, and even a roll top desk.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Julian; son, Michael Julian and wife Evelyn of Deltona, Fla.; daughter, Sherry Williams and husband Marwyn of Debary, Fla.; granddaughter, Kathleen Williams of Debary, Fla.; sister, Sharon Dykes and husband Dean of Hampton, Tenn.; aunts, Jeanette Calhoun and husband J.D. and Mary Lou Williams; nieces, April Bowman and husband Josh and Christy Booth and husband Jonathan; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Larry’s life was held at Free Will Baptist Church on Thursday, October 6, officiated by Pastor Danny Osborne. Online condolences may be made to the Julian family at www.eastlawnkingsport.com.
