Mike Henninger

Mike Henninger departed this world on September 29, 2016, after a brief illness with cancer. He was born on May 8, 1970, the son of the late Christine Henninger.
He is survived by his dad, Fred and Sylvia Henninger of Arizona; his sister, Cecilia Keelin and husband, Matt, and a very special nephew, Grant, of Colorado.
Mike also leaves behind his soul mate, Kim Miller Julian, and step-sons, Joshua, Jared and Jonah Julian, all of the home; his brother and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Teresa Miller of Johnson City, Tenn., James and Carol Ann Causey of Jonesborough, Tenn., and Sharon and Roger Estep of Johnson City, Tenn.; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Mike knew no strangers as he had friends stretching across the U.S. Mike was an employee of East Coast Wings, Johnson City, Tenn.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 22, at 6 p.m. at Little Mountain Baptist Church, 125 Little Mountain Church Road, Roan Mountain, TN 37687. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 5 p.m. until the time of service.
The family would like to express their heartfelt “thank you,” to Mike’s oncologist, Dr. Teresa Lord, of Kingsport, and her staff, “The Girls,” on 4500 at Johnson City Medical Center, as well as those who cared for him during his final hours on 5300, and Radiologists, Dr. Floyd and his staff. The family would also like to thank Little Mountain Baptist Church, Roan Mountain, for their love and support during this difficult time, and the Roan Mountain community who also loved and supported Mike, especially during his battle with cancer. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to your local animal shelter or rescue in Mike’s name.
