Carolyn June White, 75, of Butler, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 2, 2016.
Carolyn was a member of Little Milligan Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a devoted wife to Carl “Doodle” White for 58 years. Carolyn and Doodle were blessed through their 58 years together sharing five children, Patricia Fannon, Bobby “Buzz” White, Barbara “Susie” Edney and husband Roger, Sharon Cable and husband Jerry and an infant son, Mitchell Dale, who preceded her in death who she is holding in her arms again.
Carolyn continued her journey with Doodle by spoiling her five grandchildren, Becky, Brandon, Justin, Heather and Barry. Together they spread their love on to their four great-grandchildren, Zach, Breanna, Autumn and Chloe.
In addition to the love she showed her family she had a special son-in-law, Gurney Pilk, who she held close to her heart. As well as her special friends, Rick and Nell Turbyfield, Douglas and Nelda Hatley, George and Judy White and Paul and Dennis Campbell.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday, November 5, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Cecil “Nick” Bradshaw and the Rev. Ronnie Campbell officiating. Music will be provided by the Rev. Ronnie Campbell. The graveside service and interment will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 6, in the Campbell Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Sunday, will be Rodney Ford, Zach Ford, Justin Cable, Jerry Cable, Gurney Pilk, Jim Vernon Moody, Doug Hatley, Dennis Campbell and Barry Edney. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at her residence.
