Joyce Elizabeth Hardin, 80, passed away at the Hermitage Health Center on Wednesday, January 11, 2017.
Mrs. Hardin was a lifelong resident of this area. She was a member of Lynn Valley Baptist Church and of the Tops Club. She was a loving “Mammaw” to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joyce loved the Lady Vols and Tennessee Football.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Bertha Bullock; daughter, Lisa Ellen Hardin; granddaughter, Megan Elizabeth Holly; brothers, Clyde, Charles, and Bobby Bullock.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Vaughan Hardin; son, Kenny Hardin and wife, Tammy; daughters, Sharon Edwards and husband, Gary, Angie Holly and husband, Billy; sisters, Peggy Scalf and husband, Ron, Evelyn Fox and husband, Pete; grandchildren, Stephanie Garland and husband, Timmy, Korey Hardin, Bethany Ingram and husband, Alex, and Lucas Holly; great grandkids, Koby Garland and Cambrie Ingram; several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Lynn Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the service hour.
Graveside services will be conducted following the service at Hardin cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Lucas Holly, Colby Garland, Timmy Garland, Korey Hardin, Alex Ingram, Dennis Scalf, and Tommy Scalf. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Lynn Valley Baptist Church.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Caris Hospice, Hermitage Health Center, Rev. Dennis Wilson, Dr. Vivian Clark and Ann Deal FNP, Lynn Valley Baptist Church, Sycamore Shoals Nurses and staff, special caregivers, Ina Roark, Denna Nichols, and Kelly Whisenhunt, and her Tops club friends.
In addition to flowers, donations may be sent to the Lynn Valley Baptist Church building fund in Mrs. Hardin’s memory.
