Pam C. Cardwell

Mrs. Pam C. Cardwell, 67, of Jonesborough, Tenn., was called home Sunday, January 15, 2017, at her residence. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late D.B. Jack McKeehan and Cora Evelyn Rea McKeehan.
Mrs. Cardwell worked as a seamstress and embroider with Campus Chalet in Johnson City. She attended Oak Grove Christian Church and enjoyed crafts, painting and art; gardening, flowers and bird watching. She was a loving Nannie to all she came into contact with.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Patsy McKeehan Greene, Pauline McKeehan and Priscilla Hope McKeehan.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Harvey L. “Pappy” Cardwell, of the home; a son, Stephen Goodwin, Jonesborough, Tenn.; two daughters, Stephenia Goodwin, Jonesborough, Tenn., and Gina Cardwell Marion and husband James, Oak Ridge, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, David Pugh, Brianna Boggs, Kaitlyn Lawson, River Howard, Joe Burkett, James Burkett, Anna Burkett and Triston Newhouse; one great-granddaughter, Adeline Jolee King; and five sisters, Peggy Taylor, Statesville, N.C., Pauletta Harsh, Elizabethton, Tenn., Patricia Hawkins, Kodac, Tenn., Phyllis Gentry, Elizabethton, Tenn., and Patty Sims, Elizabethton, Tenn. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Mrs. Pam C. Cardwell will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 19, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Mr. Jim Greene and Mr. Tim Greene, ministers, officiating. Music will be under the direction of Mr. Jim Greene. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 until 2 p.m. Thursday, prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow the service at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be David Pugh, Stephen Goodwin, James Marion, Tyrone Brigham, Jeremy Brumit and Curtis Sims. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Burkett, James Burkett and River Howard. The family would like to express a special thank you to her baby sister, Patty “Tyke,” for the loving care given to her sister.
