The Carter County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of an armed robbery at Hampton Pharmacy where a male suspect allegedly brandished a handgun and obtained prescription medication from pharmacy staff.
The incident happened shortly before Noon. According to police the suspect fled the scene in an older model red or maroon SUV with a black trash bag covering the rear window.
Investigators are on the scene at this time and officers are been searching the area for the suspect and the vehicle.
