Dino’s Restaurant, located in Downtown Elizabethton, is expected to be closed until Friday, March 10, due to a car hitting the rear of the building over the weekend.
The restaurant announced online that the accident damaged the cinder block wall at the rear of the building and would need time to repair.
“We are sorry about the inconvenience this may cause, but we would like to invite you to take this opportunity to frequent some of the other restaurants in Downtown Elizabethton,” the restaurant said on a Facebook post online.
Dino’s encouraged the public to visit other downtown eateries including J’s Corner, The Coffee Company, Jiggy Ray’s, The Southern, Red Chili, the Covered Bridge Cafe and Lil’ Dip and Deli, located on West Elk Avenue, while they are closed for the week.
“Thank you again for all the support you all have shown us over the years and we will come back from our forced vacation doing what we love … serving you all the great food that Dino Senesi himself left as his legacy to our great community,” the restaurant added.
Dino’s confirmed to the Elizabethton Star that Friday is the tentative date to reopen, pending any setbacks found by the contractor working the incident. Further updates on the restaurant can be found by visiting the Dino’s Restaurant Facebook page.
