Terry Dale Stewart

Terry Dale Stewart, 62, of Butler, Tenn., went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, March 4, 2017, from his residence, following an extended illness. Terry was born in Carter County to the late Mack Hanes Stewart and Bessie Frances Whaley Stewart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Thomas Stewart.
Terry had been employed as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of Little Milligan Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing the guitar, liked antique cars and trucks and watching deer, turkeys and other wildlife.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Scarlet Stewart, Elizabethton, and his grandson, Connor Houston, Elizabethton; and a sister, Karen Maxine Woody and husband Robert, Newland, N.C. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor and celebrate the life of Terry Dale Stewart will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. Nick Bradshaw officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from noon until 1 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service. The graveside service will follow at Butler Memorial Cemetery in Butler, Tenn. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
