Lloyd Carroll Kyte

Lloyd Carroll Kyte, 76, of Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Butler, he was a son of the late John Hamilton Kyte Jr. and Georgia Anna Smith Kyte.
Mr. Kyte was a 1958 graduate of Happy Valley High School. He had a BS Degree in Health Education and an Associate Degree in Nursing from East Tennessee State University. He served in the United States Army and was a retired RN at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Kyte.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Sandra Treadway Kyte; his brothers, Johnny Kyte and Rick Kyte; his sisters, Brenda Lynn and Phyllis Gouge; his brothers-in-law, Turby Treadway and Curtis Lynn; several nieces and one nephew.
Graveside services for Lloyd Carroll Kyte will be conducted at 10:45 a.m. Friday, March 10, in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Interment will follow the service. Military Honors will be provided by the Carter County Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Food for the Multitude, c/o Benny Buck, 2726 Bob Little Road, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
