It was a big day for the Hampton Bulldogs soccer squad Tuesday as they made their way over to Happy Valley.
The Bulldogs, in a battle with the Warriors, came out victorious 6-5 for the program’s first win since its beginnings last year.
“I am just overwhelmed,” said Hampton head coach Andy O’Neil. They played an absolutely fantastic game.
“Both teams played very hard,” O’Neil added. “It was a collective effort from our guys. They executed very well.”
For Hampton, Nate Jones recorded three goals. Happy Valley’s Dylan Burleson finished the game with two goals for the Warriors.
Next up for Hampton will be a home game against Unicoi Friday. Happy Valley will host Sullivan South on Thursday.
