Nancy Myrtle Oliver Broyles

Nancy Myrtle Oliver Broyles, 75, of Elizabethton, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017, at her residence.
A native of Bristol, Va., she was a daughter of the late James Harrison and Maggie Virgie Huskey Oliver. She had lived most of her life in Elizabethton.
Nanch was a homemaker. She loved to work in her garden and her flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Wiley, Lester, Rosalee and Eula Mae.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Haskel Broyles; a daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Darrell Cunningham, Piney Flats; a son, Haskel Wayne Broyles, Elizabethton; four grandsons and their wives, Galvin and Megan Woods, Dalton and Kenzie Woods, Corey Cunningham and Sasha and Jacob Cunningham; a granddaughter, Traci McClain and husband Matt; great-grandchildren, Ily Woods, Gabriel Cunningham, Kayliegh and Haleigh Cunningham and Preston McClain; her sisters, Lola Sweeney and Pansy Brittonham, both of Bristol, and Debbie Grindstaff and Barbara Grindstaff of Elizabethton.; and her brothers, Ernest “Fuzz” Oliver, Oscar Oliver and Butch Oliver.
Funeral services for Nancy Myrtle Oliver Broyles will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jason Myers officiating. Interment will follow in the Emmert Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Galvin Woods, Dalton Woods, Jacob Cunningham, Darrell Cunningham, Ernest L. Oliver and Oscar Oliver. Honorary pallbearers will be Ernest “Fuzz” Oliver, Dewey and Floyd Broyles. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, at the funeral home.
