Hildred K. Davis, 74, of New Paltz, N.Y., died Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. She was born January 4, 1943 in Elizabethton, Tenn., and was the daughter of the late Shannon and Helen (Phillips) Richmond. She married Franklin Davis on May 27, 1964 in Elizabethton, Tenn. Mr. Davis survives at home.
She was employed as a nursery school teacher at NY ABC Elementary School in New Paltz, N.Y., until her retirement in 2000.
Besides her husband, she is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Lisa Davis of Windermere, Fla.; two sisters, Pauline Neeley and Margaret Hagler, and two brothers, Richard Richmond and George Richmond, all of Elizabethton, Tenn.; a granddaughter, Taylor Davis of Los Angeles, Calif.; and a grandson, Parker Davis of Windermere, Fla. Many nieces, nephews, uncles and cousins also survive. She was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 15, from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. at Copeland Funeral Home, Inc., 162 South Putt Corners Road, New Paltz, N.Y., followed by funeral services at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Darrell Lewis officiating.
