Eugene Edward Arnold

Eugene Edward Arnold, 74, of Elizabethton, who has gone to be with the love of his life for 51 years, Peggy Arnold, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 28, 2017, at Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Gate City, Va., he was a son of the late Robert G. and Florence Housewright Arnold.
Mr. Arnold moved to Baltimore, Md., where he decided to start a family, and later moved to Tennessee with his wife, kids and grandchildren. He had lived in Tennessee for 12 years. He was a retired brick mason.
Eugene was well known to be a loving father, husband, Papa and friend. His hobbies were fishing, NASCAR racing, football and traveling.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Danny Arnold, and a sister, Linda Taylor.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Camba and husband Robert; a son, Kenneth Edward Arnold; two sisters, Polly Davenport, Baltimore, Md., and Ida Sweetser, Fredericksburg, Va.; five very very special grandchildren, Travis and Steven Camba, Nicole, Angel and Crystal Arnold; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Eugene Edward Arnold will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, July 31, at Memorial Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Arnold will be taken to the David J. Weber Funeral Home, Baltimore, Md., for funeral services and interment.
