Stephen Salmons, 49, born August 25, 1968, passed away on August 27, 2017 of a lengthy illness.
Steve was preceded in death by a his father, Ora Salmons Sr., and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Survivors include his mother, Delma Jo Byers of Carter County; two daughters and a son-in-law, Porschea and Steven Elswick and Nona Salmons of Johnson City; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Ora Jr. and Shirley Salmons, of the home, and Michael Salmons, address unknown; one sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Kenneth Hicks of Gray; one half sister, Susan Salmons of West Virginia; four grandchildren, Jessi, Spencer, Ezra and Suri; three nieces, Samantha, Cassa and Brittney; and two great-nieces, Makenlee and Journee; and one great-nephew, Christopher.
A small memorial will be given at a later date.
