The Waters of Roan Highlands will be hosting a Bingo night for the residents, their families and the local community of Roan Mountain from 7 to 8 p.m. Come out and enjoy a night of Bingo. The Elizabethton Senior Dance Club will hold a dance at the Elizabethton Elks Lodge, No. 1847, 1000 N. Sycamore St., from 7 to 10 p.m. The Rambling Rose Band will provide music. Those attending the dances are asked to bring finger foods to share. There is a $6 door charge. The club holds dances the second and fourth Friday nights of each month. All seniors are welcome.

The Elizabethton Senior Citizens Center, 428 East G St., will host its Harvest Ball from 6 to 9 p.m. Dance the night away with music provided by a live band from the ETSU Music Department. A buffet featuring finger foods and beverages will be provided. There is no admission charge. Everyone is welcome but must be 55 or older to attend. This event is hosted by the Unaka High School Key Club. For more information, call 543-4362.

Overmountain Victory Trail Celebration will take place from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park. Come join the fun as historic re-enactors bring history to life through a variety of programs and demonstrations to show what life was like on the frontier during the American Revolution and learn about the victorious march of the Overmountain Men from their muster point at Sycamore Shoals to Kings Mountain S.C. Johnson County Farmers Market Farm-to-Table Harvest Celebration Dinner will be held at 6 p.m. at the Roan Creek Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Mountain City. A Mediterranean themed four course meal will be served made with farm fresh ingredients. Vegan and gluten free available as well. There will be live classical and folk music. The all inclusive meal is $35. Tickets are available at the Johnson County Welcome Center or by calling 423-677-2222.

The heirs of Lawson and Nannie Lewis and P.P. and Annie Lewis will have a family reunion at the fellowship hall of Doe River Baptist Church, 113 Avon St., Elizabethton, (Valley Forge community), from 1 to 4 p.m. Drinks and food will be provided. Overmountain Victory Trail Association River Crossing will be held at 2 p.m. at Sycamore Shoals State Park. On Sept. 25, 1780, Col. William Campbell and 400 mounted militiamen from present day Abingdon, Va., crossed the Watauga River at Sycamore Shoals and joined forces with Colonels Isaac Shelby and John Sevier in response to a threat from British Major Patrick Ferguson. The Overmountain Victory Trail Association will recreate the historic river crossing. For the past 42 years members of the OVTA have recreated the historic march beginning in Abingdon, Va., and following the same route and timetable as their legendary forebears all the way to Kings Mountain. TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) will meet at First Baptist Church, 212 East F St., Elizabethton. Weigh-in begins at 5:30-6:30 p.m. with the meeting starting at 6:45 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend these meetings. Nicotine Anonymous, a 12-Step Recovery Program of Mutual Support for those who want to stop smoking or live free of nicotine in any form, will meet at 7 p.m. at the Carter County Drug Prevention Coalition Youth Opportunity Center, 546 East Elk Ave., Elizabethton. The descendants, relatives and friends of William Berry Norris and wife, Martisha Ann Trivett Norris, early settlers of Old Beech Mountain, will gather at the old Cranberry High School for their 12th annual reunion. It will begin at 10:30 a.m. A covered dish meal will be shared around noon.
