Lou Ella Butler Smith

Lou Ella Butler Smith, 57, of Elizabethton, passed away Monday, October 9, 2017, at Johnson City Medical Center. She was born August 9, 1960 in Johnson City to the late John and Delia Vance Butler.
Lou was a graduate of David Crockett High School, Jonesborough, and an employee of TPI. She was a member of Rittertown Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Clarence Smith Sr., and a brother, Donald Butler.
Survivors include her children, Gordon Smith Jr., Hampton, and Priscilla Holmes, Elizabethton, and her siblings, Mike Butler, Gary Butler and Martha Pridemore and husband Don, all of Jonesborough, Bill Butler and wife Carol and Mary Hilton and husband Lee, all of Gray, and Johnny Butler and wife Lisa, Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The graveside service for Lou Ella Butler Smith will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, October 13, in the Rittertown Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Stout officiating. Interment will follow the service. Active pallbearers will be Bill, Mike, Johnny and Gary Butler, Don Pridemore and Lee Hilton. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Friday to go to the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website, www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
