Donna Carol Oaks Walker

Donna Carol Oaks Walker, 55, of Hampton, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017, at Holston Valley Medical Center.
A native of Erwin, she was a daughter of the late James Jack and Dorothy Marie Perry Oaks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Tammy Honeycutt.
Donna had lived in Carter County for several years. She was a loving wife and mother. She liked to play bingo and she loved everyone. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. She was a special person to all of us. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Steven H. Walker Sr.; one daughter, Kristie Carol Thomas; two sons, Steven H. Walker Jr. and Timothy Lynn Walker; she also raised her sister-in-law, Tonia Ruth Walker; three grandchildren, David and Kimberly Thomas and Elayna Ritchie; a sister, Vikki Bowers; two brothers, Randy and Billy Oaks; and a special sister-in-law, Melinda Squiers.
Funeral services for Donna Carol Oaks Walker will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, October 13, at Memorial Funeral Chapel. The graveside service and interment will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 14, in the Lyons Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at her residence.
