Sheriff announces charges filed in Central, Happy Valley burglaries

Investigators of the Carter County Sheriff’s Office have charged five individuals in connection with a string of thefts and burglaries in the Central and Happy Valley communities of Carter County.
Carter County Sheriff Dexter Lunceford said the charges were filed as the result of an extensive investigation conducted over the past three months.
“The investigation led Investigators to at least six different jurisdictions including two jurisdictions in North Carolina,” Lunceford said. “As a result, investigators have identified and charged five subjects involved in the majority of these crimes.”
Lunceford identified the five suspects as: Joshua Allan White, Brittney Lynn Hamm, William Shane Necessary, Billy Ray Hale and Anthony Scott Stout.
“All subjects are currently incarcerated with pending charges ranging from misdemeanor theft to felony aggravated burglary,” Lunceford said.
Lunceford provided the following list detailing when and here the burglaries took place, which of the suspects were allegedly involved, and what charges were placed in connection with the incident.
