Shelby Jean Campbell

Shelby Jean Campbell, 81, of Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at her residence after a brief illness.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Carma Campbell.
Mrs. Campbell was a homemaker. She loved working in her garden and working puzzles. She was a member of Moores Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, J.M. Campbell; a son, Terry Campbell; a sister, Vanessa Oliver; and two brothers, Wayne and Glen Campbell.
Survivors include her children, Jeannie Pierce and husband Steve, Elizabethton, and Donnie Campbell and wife Teresa, Johnson City; five grandchildren, Misty McCracken, Terry Campbell, Laura Childress, Joel Campbell and Terra Crawford; eight great-grandchildren, Bredgitte Clawson, Miranda McCracken, Jacob McCracken, Brandon Campbell, Aiden Crawford, Alisen Crawford, Tyler Campbell and Mason Campbell; one great-great-granddaughter, Bailee Chavez; two sisters, Thelma Pearce and Lynn Bowers and husband Kelly, all of Elizabethton; one brother, Tommy Campbell and wife JoAnn, Elizabethton; and several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service for Shelby Jean Campbell will be conducted at noon Saturday, December 16, in the Richardson Cemetery with Hunter Greene and Donnie Campbell officiating. Interment will follow the service. Active pallbearers will be Penny Campbell, Joel Campbell, Steve Pierce, Jacob McCracken, Christian Chavez, Terry Campbell and Terra Crawford. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Greg and Ruby of Mountain States Hospice and Thelma Pearce and Jewell Lowe for all the help they have shown during her illness.
