A Stoney Creek woman faces multiple criminal charges after police executed a search warrant at her home last week.
Officers of the Elizabethton Police Department arrested Jenny Bailey, 46, of 1138 Highway 91, Elizabethton, on Dec. 20 and charged her with possession of Schedule II drugs, maintaining a dwelling where controlled substances are manufactured or sold, possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of simple possession of drugs.
According to court documents, on Dec. 20 officers of the Elizabethton Police Department and deputies of the Carter County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at the residence located at 1138 Highway 91. When officers arrived, they detained Bailey and another subject for safety reasons while they searched the home.
Officers found several items of drug paraphernalia inside the home associated with the weighing, storing, and using of drugs, an undercover EPD officer said.
While executing the search warrant, officers on the scene called for CCSO Sgt. Amanda Little to respond to the home to conduct a search of Bailey’s person.
“During the search, Sgt. Little located $201 in US currency — $120 of which was EPD marked currency,” the undercover officer said, adding Little also found two baggies containing a clear crystal substance as well as some pills on Bailey’s person during the search.
Officers placed Bailey under arrest and transported her to the Carter County Detention Center. Bailey posted an $11,500 bond on Dec. 23 and was released from custody at the jail. She scheduled to appear in Carter County General Sessions Court on Jan. 23, 2018.
