The Station at 19E in Roan Mountain will televise each of the NFL Wildcard games this week from their location. Staff encourages residents to come out and enjoy craft brew and Hoffman’s hotdogs. Jan. 6’s event starts at 4:30 p.m. and Jan. 7’s starts at 1 p.m.

Winter Naturalists’ Rally 2018 — February 10, begins at 9:00 AM. Join expert naturalists for the 11th annual winter exploration of the Roan Highlands and its unique grassy balds, scenic views, trees, shrubs, and geology. Dress warmly! Easter Egg Hunt 2018 at Roan Mountain State Park. Saturday, March 31. Begins promptly at noon! Enjoy some family fun at Roan Mountain State Park with a traditional Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 10 and under. Egg-hunting, candy, prizes, and a special “hop-in” visit from the Easter Bunny all get underway promptly at noon at the Park Amphitheater. Don’t be late… those eggs go fast!
