First Presbyterian
The pastor, the Rev. Dr. Brian Wyatt, will have the sermon at Sunday morning worship Jan. 21 at First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton. The service begins at 11 a.m.
An Education Hour will be held at 9:45 a.m.
Other opportunities of the week include the movie “An Inconvenient Sequel” Sunday at 3 p.m.; Meditation, Wednesday at 7 p.m.; and Thursdays with Jesus Reading Group from 10:20 a.m. to noon Thursday. The group is currently reading “Moral Combat” by R. Marie Griffin.
Yoga is every Friday from 10 a.m. to noon.

First United Methodist.
The message “The Road Back Home” will be presented at the 9:55 a.m. worship service Sunday at First United Methodist Church, Elizabethton. The pastor, the Rev. Ray Amos, will preach, using the sermon text Lam. 3: 19-26, 40-42.
Sunday School will follow at 11:20 a.m.
The 4:12 Student Ministries (sixth and seventh graders) will meet Sunday from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and the Senior High students from 5:45 to 7:30 p.m. in the 4:12 Ministries House. The Coolagers will meet Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Coolager Hut.
The Wednesday evening Life Lessons Bible Study will be held at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall.

First Christian
Morning worship at First Christian Church, Elizabethton, will be at 9:45 a.m. Sunday with the minister, Michael Klaus, preaching.
The communion meditation will be given by David Mills, scripture will be read by Lorrie Case, and special music will be by Ardith Sheffield.
Following the message there will be an ordination service for Ben Cole.
Bible school classes will follow at 11 a.m.
The evening service begins at 6 p.m. The Ladies Bible Study will be at 6:30 p.m. in the Fidelis Classroom.
The Tuesday morning prayer group will meet at 10 a.m. Jan. 23 in the sanctuary.
The Wednesday evening service is at 6 p.m.

Roan Street Free Will
The Roan Street Free Will Baptist Church will have special singing at the 11 a.m. service Sunday. Featured will be the Sounds of Victory.
