James Roger Donnelly, 46, of Elizabethton, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
James was born March 22, 1971 in Fairfax, Va. He was a graduate of Jeb Stewart High School, Arlington, Va.
James had lived in Elizabethton for several years. He was a construction worker and worked in landscaping. He was a member of Dungan Chapel Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Alan Donnelly, February 25, 1998.
Survivors include his parents, Richard and Charlotte Estep Donnelly, and a sister, Vickie Donnelly Hilton and husband Michael, Dallas, N.C.
Graveside services for James Roger Donnelly will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 21, in the Garland Cemetery with the Rev. Eric Heaton officiating. Active pallbearers will be Eddie Speer, Marty Estep, Eric Fletcher, Lee Martin, Bill Fritz and Ronnie Hodge. Honorary pallbearers will be his church family. Friends may visit at the residence of his parents. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of James to the Garland Cemetery, c/o Martha Whaley, Treasurer, 2803 Highway 91, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
