Seffie Ann Dugger

Miss Seffie Ann Dugger, 102, of Southside Road, Elizabethton, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at the home of her daughter. Miss Dugger was born in Elizabethton and was a daughter of the late William David and Nancy Jane White Dugger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Charlie, Ed, George, Tip and Alvin Dugger; a sister, Alice Bailey; and two granddaughters, Aleta Jane Darnell and Cynthia Ann Andes.
Miss Dugger worked at Bemberg until her retirement and then was a cook at Southside Elementary School. She was a charter member of Southside Christian Church. She loved to work in the yard, do gardening, canning, cooking and being outdoors. She also enjoyed quilting.
Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Laura Mae Suddath, of Greeneville, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Kelly Roberts and her husband, Tony, of Greeneville, and Pamela Ensor and her husband, Alan, of Johnson City; seven great-grandchildren, Ryan Humphreys, Paula Dean Nave, Lauren Wines and her husband, Buddy, Lindsey Sawyer, Gabe Roberts, Brooklyn Roberts and Katelyn Roberts; three great-great-grandchildren, Bentley Sawyer, Talon Sawyer and Cheyenne Finkle; and her special furry friend, Buster the dog. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Miss Dugger will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, January 26, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Chaplain Leonard Shelton and Mr. Mike Koruschak, minister, officiating. Music will be under the direction of No Name But His. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 1 until 2 p.m. Friday, prior to the service. Interment will follow the funeral service at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Buddy Wines, Ryan Humphreys, Alan Ensor, Gabe Roberts and men of the church. The family would like to express a special thank you to Smoky Mountain Hospice, especially nurse Lisa P. and Chaplain Greg and her special caregivers, Lindsey Sawyer, Brenda Holt, Cindy Gleason, Isabel Rojas, Buddy and Thomas.
