Tony Lee Garland, 46, of Johnson City, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Johnson City Medical Center after an extended illness.
Mr. Garland was a native of Carter County. Prior to his illness, he was a mechanic.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lillie Fain, and two grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, Leanna Clawson, Lucus Fain and Wesley Garland; his father, Kenneth Garland, Hampton; his mother, Shirley Davis Estep, Elizabethton; two brothers, Tommy “Doug” Garland and wife Tina and Timothy Garland; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, including two very special great-nephews, Braylon and Aayden Garland.
A graveside service for Tony Lee Garland will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, February 8, in the Ritchie Cemetery with the Rev. Edward Garland officiating. Active pallbearers will be Jeff Guinn, Charlie Ashley, Anthony Guinn, Billy Combs, Doug Garland and Randy Gentry. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until noon Thursday at the funeral home. There will be a Celebration of Life Service at the Melting Pot, Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church, at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 11, with the Rev. Patty Muse officiating.
