Leone S. Grindstaff, 93, of Lenoir City, ascended to her heavenly home on Friday, April 20, 2018. She is joining her beloved husband, Robert; her son, Chalmers “Clay” Grindstaff; daughter and son-in-law, Fredia and Lynn Wallace; her parents and her brothers and sisters are waiting on her.
She leaves to celebrate her memories: her daughter, Portia Wiggins of Lenoir City; seven grandchildren, Dana (Chris) Walker, David Lewis, Lewis King, Tim Grindstaff, Missy Murrell, Kristi (Jerry) Cook and Kevin Wiggins, with whom she made her home; five great-grandchildren, Tre King, Brittnie (Chris) Lankford, Kelsie Hester, Destiny Lewis and Allie (Charles) Gregory; five great-great-grandchildren, Briar Gray, Gavin and Gannon Lankford, A.J. Miller and Korben Hester; two adopted daughters, Nancy Corbett and Irene Carrier; her furry companion, “Peaches,” along with several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Eric Poston and Woods Presbyterian Home in Sweetwater for their care and medical services.
The family received friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 22, at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Family and friends gathered at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Monday and proceeded to Loudon County Memorial Gardens for 11 a.m. graveside services and interment. Pallbearers were Kevin Wiggins, Lewis King, David Lewis, Tim Grindstaff, Tre King, Doug Hester, Chris Lankford, Chris Walker, Jerry Cook and Chase White.
