When a team can go through a conference slate twice without suffering a defeat, its only fitting that when the post-season accolades are handed out that the team which accomplished the feat should receive most of the hardware.
Such was the case as the Three Rivers All-Conference team was recently recognized at the end of the district tournament and Elizabethton had nine players recognized along with head coach Ken Hardin being named the 2018 TRC Coach of the Year.
Headlining the list for the Lady Cyclones was Player of the Year Maci West. West demonstrated why she was the hands-down selection for the award during the district tournament when she clubbed four homers and recorded 10 RBI’s during the tourney.
Lauren Brickey was chosen as the Conference Pitcher of the Year as the senior turned it on down the stretch after recouping from an injury that sidelined her for the early portion of the season.
Gaining recognition as All-Conference for the 2018 season for ‘Betsy was senior shortstop Macie Herrmann, senior pitcher/first baseman Kellie Cunningham, junior catcher Haley Fair, sophomore second baseman Kaylen Shell, and junior outfielder Kira Dillard.
Junior third baseman Hannah Edwards was named as an Honorable Mention selection.
Another Carter County school had four named to the list as Kaitlyn Roberts and Abby Holt were named to the All-Conference squad while Olivia Absher and Kadie Havner were placed on the Honorable Mention team.
Johnson County placed Courtney Brooks and Hannah Brooks on the All-Conference team with Emmy Miller and Natalie Winters chosen as Honorable Mention.
The remaining members of the 2018 All-Conference team are as follows:
