Mable C. Estep

Mable C. Estep, 75, of Bluff City, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Johnson City Medical Center. She was born in Sullivan County and was a daughter of the late Mitchell and Rosa Bell Jones Perry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Ronald Estep; a grandson, Joshua Adam Estep; two brothers, Jack Perry and Darrell Perry; a sister, Reva Bare; and a sister-in-law, Susie Perry.
Mrs. Estep was a loving wife, mother, sister and nana and was an avid bingo player who loved to cook and bake. She was a member of Bunker Hill Christian Church. She retired from Hermitage Health Center where she worked as a loving and compassionate nurse (LPN) for 15 years.
Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Marshall Estep and wife, Joyce of Bluff City; two daughters, Melissa Thompson of Bluff City, and Connie Hyder and husband, Larry of Elizabethton; two grandchildren, Taylor Thompson and Whitney Hyder, and a great-granddaughter, Zoie Miller, all of Elizabethton; two brothers, Conley Perry and Lawrence Perry and wife, Selma, all of Bluff City; a brother-in-law, Richard Donnelly of Elizabethton; and a very special sister, Mildred Brittingham of Orlando, Fla. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Mrs. Estep will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service, and at the home at other times. The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 12 p.m. Thursday, June 28, at Jones Cemetery in Bluff City. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those wishing to attend are invited to meet the family at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family extends a very special and heartfelt thank you to the 5th Floor Staff of Johnson City Medical Center for the love and care shown to Mrs. Estep and the family.
