Zion Baptist
Evangelist David Ring will preach during the 11 a.m. morning worship service Sunday at Zion Baptist Church, 1982 Gap Creek Road.

First Christian
Minister Michael Klaus will continue his series of sermons on the book of Amos at the morning worship service Sunday at First Christian Church, Elizabethton.
The service will begin at 9:45 a.m. with Dr. David Mills as worship leader. The communion meditation will be given by Al Whirledge and Todd Maines will read scripture. Gene Estep will present special music.
It will be Church Project Sunday and a collection will be received for upcoming church projects.
Bible school classes will meet at 11 a.m.
The evening service will be held at 6 p.m. with the congregation attending the Carter County Singspiration at Central Community Christian Church.
The Tuesday Morning Prayer Group led by John Smith will meet 10 a.m. Tuesday in the sanctuary.
The Wednesday evening Bible study and prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. in the sanctuary. The study, Drive Through the Gospels, will continue. There will also be classes for children and youth.
Ladies Circles will meet Aug. 2. The Sunrise Circle will meet at 10:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall; the Volunteer Circle at 2 p.m. in the Fidelis Classroom; and the Ann Jett Circle at 6:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
Friday, Aug. 3, at 6 p.m. the Carter County Christian Women will meet in the fellowship hall for their annual Ladies Night Out. Everyone is asked to bring a salad to share, a book to exchange, and wear attire to celebrate the bumble bee.

First United Methodist
“The Reason I Pray For You” is the topic of Sunday’s sermon at First United Methodist Church, 325 E. E St.
The morning service will begin at 9:55 a.m. and the message will be presented by Pastor Raymond Amos, Sr. and is based on the scripture, Eph. 3: 14-21.
Sunday School will begin at 11:20 a.m.
The 4:12 Junior High Student Ministries will meet Sunday from 4:12 to 5:25 p.m. and the Senior High Ministries will meet from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m.
The Wednesday evening Life Lessons will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the fellowship hall.

Singspiration
The Christian Churches and Churches of Christ of Carter County will join together for a Singspiration Sunday, July 29, at 6 p.m. at Central Community Christian Church, 137 Hopson Road, Johnson City.
The service will be held in the church’s large outdoor pavilion with chairs furnished. Todd Wolfe, host minister, will be the leader for this worship service full of great congregational singing and many wonderful solos and ensembles.
The public is cordially invited to attend.

Charity Hill
Charity Hill Free Will Baptist Church, 1353 Charity Hill Road, will celebrate homecoming Sunday.
Sacred Journey will sing at 10 a.m. with more special singing at 11 a.m. when the Rev. Roger Massey from Weaverville, N.C., will present the message.
After the service, lunch will be served in the fellowship hall.

First Church of the Nazarene
Vacation Bible School will be held at the First Church of the Nazarene, 200 West I St., July 30-August 3. Classes will be held each day from 5 to 8 p.m.
The theme of the Bible School is “Time Lab: Discovering Jesus from Eternity Past to Eternity Future.”

Elk River
Homecoming will be observed Sunday at Elk River Baptist Church with services beginning at 10 a.m. Lunch will be served at 12 noon.
The church is located on Highway 321, Butler.

Trinity Baptist
“Game On” is the theme for Vacation Bible School at Trinity Baptist Church, 458 E. Doe Ave. The classes will be held each evening from 6:30 to 8:30, beginning Sunday and continuing through Wednesday.
Classes will be provided for children, ages 4 through the eighth grade.

Emily Morrell will present the sermon Sunday at morning worship at First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton. The service will begin at 11 a.m.
An Education Hour for all ages will be held at 9:45 a.m.
Other opportunities for the week include Meditation at 7 p.m. Wednesday; the Thursdays with Jesus Reading Group from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday; and yoga Friday from 10 a.m. to noon.

Berea Freewill
Berea Freewill Baptist Church will host gospel soloist Russell Bennett from Kingsport at the 10:45 a.m. worship service Sunday. Bennett’s services are unique, heartfelt and feature a wide range of gospel music selections.
