Twins finish 2-1 at Burlington

A slow day at the plate for the Elizabethton Twins turned into a 5-0 loss at Burlington Thursday.
Elizabethton only mustered three hits on the evening while the Royals connected for seven.
Burlington took a 2-0 lead after two innings before posting three runs in the eighth to give the game its final tally.
Twins pitcher Andrew Cabezas (0-3) started and took the loss. Cabeza worked six innings before being swapped out for Tanner Howell.
Burlington’s Yerelmy Garcia (2-1) picked up the win.
Elizabethton is now 20-12 on the season and still sit in first in the Appalachian League West with Kingsport sitting in second with a 17-17 mark.
