Carroll Brewer, 72, of Hampton, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at his residence, following a brief illness. Carroll was born in North Carolina to the late James Hale Brewer and Amer Harrison Brewer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Brewer; his brothers, Donald Brewer, Eugene “Burgie” Brewer and his twin brother, Harrold Brewer.
Carroll retired from ETSU, where he had worked in the Physical Plant. He loved to fish.
Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, Mark Brewer and wife Elizabeth of Hampton and Kevin Lynn Brewer and wife Brandy of Elizabethton; three grandchildren, Cassa, Keesha and Maddison; and two great-grandchildren, Makenlee and Journee. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service to celebrate the life of Carroll Brewer will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 4, at Union Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Campbell officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Saturday.
