Church of Jesus
Tim Greene from Boone, N.C., will be in service Saturday, Aug. 18, at 6 p.m. at the Church of Jesus, 809 W. Main St., Johnson City.
Tim has sung for many years with his family and others. He has a wonderful testimony of healing from the Lord.
Also, revival will be held at the church Aug. 15-17 with Kenny Dunn from Greer, S.C., as guest speaker. Services will begin at 7 p.m.

New Liberty
The New Liberty Revival Choir will be in charge of the morning worship service Sunday at New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church. The service begins at 11 a.m.
The Rev. Ray Colbaugh, pastor, invites everyone to attend this special program of music featuring church singers and musicians.
New Liberty is located at 113 Peters Hollow Road near the Stoney Creek Volunteer Fire Dept.

First Christian
Minister Michael Klaus will preach at morning worship Sunday at First Christian Church, Elizabethton, with Dr. David Mills leading worship. The service will begin at 9:45 a.m.
The communion meditation will be given by Eric Dunlap, and Janie Broyles will have the scripture. David Hutton will present special music.
Bible school classes will meet at 11 a.m.
Also, Sunday funds will be collected for families who have financial emergencies.
At the evening service at 6 p.m., Dr. David Mills will report on his mission trip to Vietnam.
The Tuesday morning prayer group led by John Smith will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
The Wednesday evening Bible study and prayer service will be at 6 p.m. in the sanctuary. The study, Drive Through the Gospels, will continue.

St. Michael
St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Mission in Erwin has scheduled the dedication and blessing of its new Parish Center building for Sept. 29 at 11 a.m. The building is located at 657 N. Mohawk Drive, Erwin.
Bishop Stika of the Knoxville Diocese will bless and lead the dedication of the building.

Cedar Grove
Forgive, a Christian musical group, will sing Sunday, Aug. 19, at 6 p.m. at Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
The pastor, the Rev. Walker Roberson, invites the public to attend.

Zion Baptist
Zion Baptist Church, Gap Creek, will celebrate its 175th homecoming Sunday, Aug. 26, beginning at 10:30 a.m. with a covered dish meal to follow the service.
Jeff and Sherri Easter will be special guests, sharing their ministry in music.
Dr. Alan King is pastor.

Valley Forge U-M
Free school clothes will be available Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Valley Forge United Methodist Church, 3974 Highway 19E.
Available will be both boys and girls clothing, sizes 8-10 and through teens.

Unaka Baptist
The Brotherhood at Unaka Baptist Church will have a country style breakfast Saturday from 7 to 10 a.m.
The menu will include biscuits, gravy, eggs, two kinds of sausage, bacon and hash brown potatoes. Other items available on request.
The cost is $7 with proceeds going to the church building fund.
The public is invited to attend and enjoy the food and fellowship.

New Hope
Homecoming will be celebrated Sunday at 11 a.m. at the New Hope Church of Christ, 4527 Bristol Highway, Johnson City.
It will be the church’s 23rd homecoming and will feature C. Bud Gentry from Dewey Christian Church in Mountain City as guest speaker.
A fellowship meal in the fellowship hall will follow the morning service.
Paul Peer is minister. Everyone is invited.

First United Methodist
The Rev. Buford “Bo” Hankins will present the message Sunday at the morning worship service at First United Methodist Church, Elizabethton. The service will begin at 9:55 a.m.
The Rev. Hankins’ message is titled “The Woods Are Lovely, Dark, and Deep” based on scripture from II Sam. 18.
Sunday School will be at 11:20 a.m.
The 4:12 Junior High Student Ministries will meet Sunday from 4:12 to 5:25 p.m. and the Senior High Ministries will meet from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m.
Life Lessons will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the church fellowship hall.

First Presbyterian
Emily Morrell will be guest speaker at the Sunday morning worship service Aug. 10 at First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton. Scripture reading is from John 6: 35, 41-51.
The service begins at 11 a.m.
An Education Hour will be held at 9:45 a.m.
Other opportunities of the week include Meditation at 7 p.m. Wednesday; The Thursdays with Jesus Reading Group from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon. The group is currently reading “The Soul of America: The Battle for our Better Angels” by Jon Meacham.
Yoga is Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.

God’s House
Full Gospel Church
A Holy Ghost Revival will be held Aug. 19-24 at God’s House Full Gospel Church, 2606 Old Stateline Road.
Services will begin at 7 p.m.
Evangelists are Micky Neal and Timothy Neal. Special singing will be featured at each service.
