Herman Rumley

Herman Rumley, 71 of Bluff City, Tenn., passed away at his home on Friday, August 10, 2018. He was the son of the late Roy Earl and Margaret Rumley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Ray and Lonnie Rumley, and one great-grandchild, Peyton Rumley.
Herman was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed both hunting and fishing. He also loved to cook. He was employed by the Raytheon Company but worked the majority of his life as a self-employed floor covering installer.
Herman was the proud father of five children, Roy Rumley-wife Olivia, Troy Rumley-wife Lisa, Jason Rumley-fiancée Orlinda, Racheal Rumley, and Josh Rumley-wife Haleigh; seven grandchildren, Caleb Rumley-wife Sheila, Chelsea Rumley, Amanda Rumley Smith-husband Austin, Markis Rumley, Izzy, Scarlett and Karter Rumley; and one great-grandchild, Addison Rumley. Herman is also survived by four brothers and one sister, Wade, Howard, Rusty, Wayne and Penny Rumley, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to honor Herman will be held at Bunker Hill Christian Church in Bluff City, Tenn., on Saturday, August 18, at 10 a.m. There will be no receiving of friends prior to the service. The family will have a private burial at a later date. The family would like to thank everyone who has taken time to share memories and show kindness to our dad over the years.
