Eileen V. Estep

Eileen V. Estep, 87, of Elizabethton, loving mother and sweetest Granny, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2018.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Lee and Ida Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnson Estep, June 22, 1993; a son, Lester Estep; four step-children, who she loved and treated like her own, Leonard, Vernon, Edward Estep and Anna Mae Burgess; her sisters, Sallie Estep, Wilma Moffitt, Clara Cole, Martha Peters, Mary Lipps and Eva Lipps; and one brother, Paul Davis.
Mrs. Estep loved to cook and crochet. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by a daughter, Burless Campbell; her grandchildren, Lisa Townsend (Jimmy), Amy Riddle (TJ), Hannah Estep and Daniel Estep; one great-granddaughter, Lexi, who was her pride and joy; her special step-grandchildren, Marvin Estep, Melvin Estep, Debbie Davis, Marlene Steffey and Ruth Ann Richardson; her daughters-in-law, Loretta Estep, Shin Estep and Teresa Estep; one sister, Nora Grace; one brother, Lee Taylor Jr.; and her special friend, Donna Townsend. Many other step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Eileen V. Estep will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 21, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Hunter Greene officiating. The graveside service and interment will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 22, in the Taylor Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be James Estep Jr., Joe Estep, Melvin Estep, Daniel Estep, Terry Taylor, Jeff Taylor, Jimmy Townsend and TJ Riddle. Honorary pallbearers will be Marvin Estep, Eddie Speers, Malcom Kress, Lemmie Estep and Paxton Hicks. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to her caregiver, Tammy Moffit, as well as all other previous caregivers including Brenda Waycaster and Dr. Walter and staff. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at the residence of her daughter, Burless Campbell. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday to go to the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website, www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
