Elmer Frank Miller

Elmer Frank Miller, 77, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to his promised land on Sunday, September 2, 2018, at Franklin Woods Community Hospital. A native of Carter County, he was the son of the late Andrew J. and Bertie Campbell Miller.
Mr. Miller was a farmer and formerly worked at North American Rayon Corporation and the Bemberg Corporation. He was a member of Elk Mills Christian Church.
Mr. Miller was an avid farmer who loved his family, his horses, Nellie and Lilly, his dogs and his friends. He also loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Willie Miller, and a sister, Stella Wood.
Those left to cherish his memory include his life partner, Sandra Nunley, Elizabethton; a step-son, Kevin Nunley of Texas; a sister, Shirley Miller, Johnson City; and four brothers, J.P. Miller, L.D. Miller and Bill Miller, all of Butler, Tenn., and Darrell Miller, Deep Gap N.C. Several nieces, nephews and special friends also survive.
A service to honor the life of Elmer Frank Miller will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 6, at Elk Mills Christian Church with Pastor Glen Foster officiating. Music will be under the direction of Debbie Foster. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday, prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow the funeral service in the Miller Family Cemetery, Elk Mills. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would like to express a special thanks to the doctors and staff of the Regional Cancer Center and the doctors and staff of Franklin Woods Community Hospital for their care given to Mr. Miller.
