Anna Lee Britt Malone, 87, of Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at Signature Health Center.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Worley and Nellie Grindstaff Britt.
Anna had been employed by the Carter County School System as a custodian at Happy Valley Elementary School. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Matthew Malone, who died May 13, 2002, two infant children and an infant sister.
Survivors include two daughters, Diane Moretz and Marlene Harmon Phillips and husband Bob, all of Elizabethton; two sons, Keith Malone and friend Judy Smith, Elizabethton, and Robbie Malone and wife Terri, Jonesborough; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Doris Mullins, Elizabethton.
Funeral services for Mrs. Malone will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 8, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bill Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Lyons Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
