Janie Christine Chisholm Blackwell, 45, of Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018, at her residence.
Janie was born October 11, 1972 in Lampasas, Texas, and had lived in Elizabethton most of her life. She was retired due to disability.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Gail Crouse Chisholm.
Survivors include her husband, Clyde Blackwell; her children, Kyle Chisholm and fiancée Tiffany Peters, Elizabethton, Micheal Chisholm, Johnson City, and Jasmine Whitehead and husband Drew, Jacksonville, N.C.; one granddaughter, Makenzie Chisholm; her grandmother, Virginia Crouse, Watauga; her special aunt, Drema Thompson, Bluff City; cousins, Jason Thompson and wife Kristina and their children, Austin, A.J., Sam and Eddie Thompson; and a very special friend, Carrie Davis, Jonesborough.
Funeral services for Janie Christine Chisholm Blackwell will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ricky Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Emmert Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Kyle Chisholm, Micheal Chisholm, Jason Thompson, Eddie Thompson, Travis Davis and Ben Franklin.
