Clyde Elwayne Peters

Clyde Elwayne Peters, formerly of Elizabethton, Tenn., Pittsburgh, Pa., Frankfort, Ky., and recently Venice, Fla., passed away at age 91 on Sunday, September 30, 2018, in Venice, Fla.
Born on March 29, 1927 in Akron, Ohio, to the late Florence P. Peters and the late Robert G. Peters, Clyde graduated from Milligan College in 1950 and Birmingham School of Law in 1952. Clyde served in the Army from 1945 to 1947 in World War II. He spent his career in a number of executive positions with Westinghouse Electric Corporation until he retired in 1986.
Clyde was the loving husband of the late Edith Simerly Peters. He was preceded in death by his brother, Francis G. Peters, and sister, Freida Hood.
Clyde is survived by his daughters, Kathryn Peters and Frances Drennan; grandchildren, Matthew Mulberry, Morgan Willoughby and Meredith Babel; and great-grandchildren, Kennedi, Vera, John, Rose and Fletcher.
He loved his family, golf and college football.

A Celebration of Life Service, officiated by Pastor Robin Hager, was held on Saturday, October 6, at 10 a.m. at Peale Chapel at Grace United Methodist Church, 400 E. Field Avenue, Venice, FL 34285.
