Shakespeare in Elizabethton: Theatre Elkins’ production highlights weekend at Bonnie Kate

Published 1:45 pm Wednesday, October 10, 2018

Theatre Elkins presents The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield at the Bonnie Kate Theater.

Directed by local actor and director Daniel Banks, the fast paced comedy’s three actors (Banks, Brian Chesman, and Colin Morgan) perform all 37 of Shakespeare’s plays in 97 minutes.

Says Banks, “Last February, we were thrilled by Elizabethton’s response to the classic British comedy Engaged when it performed at the Bonnie Kate. Now we’re back with a romp through Shakespeare. Audiences are guaranteed to laugh as three men in tights condense and riff ‘the magic, the genius, the towering grandeur that is The Complete Works of William Shakespeare.’”
