Lloyd F. Wiseman

Lloyd F. Wiseman, 92, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 5, 2018, from Lakebridge Health Care Center of Johnson City. Lloyd was born in McDowell County, N.C., to the late Mack C. Wiseman and Edith Dolan Wiseman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Quillen Wiseman, on August 30, 1992.
Lloyd was a loving husband, son and friend, and was a United States Navy veteran, having served in World War II. He retired from Inland Steel Company in East Chicago, Ind., as a supervisor.
Lloyd was a member of Lower Shell Creek Christian Church, a member of Roan Creek Masonic Lodge #679, a member of the Order of Eastern Star #218 in Butler and a York Rite Mason. He loved his church, his wife and his church family and in his spare time he enjoyed fishing.
Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 25 years, Beulah Harrison Wiseman, of the home; one sister, Edna W. Cooper of Johnson City; one brother, John “JB” Wiseman of Hammond, Ind.; one stepdaughter, Terri James of Johnson City; one stepson, Tim James of Erwin, Tenn.; a stepgranddaughter, Maggie James of Erwin, Tenn.; a stepgrandson, Coleman James of Erwin, Tenn.; two nieces, Jane Ann Williams and Shirley Sutphin, both of Johnson City; and four nephews, Jim Cooper of Johnson City, Johnnie Wiseman of Indiana, Gary Wiseman of Indiana and Kevin Crowe of Elizabethton. Many friends and neighbors also survive.
A service to honor and celebrate the life of Lloyd F. Wiseman will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, November 9, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Mr. Darrell Holly, minister, providing the message and Mr. David Seibenaler, minister, providing prayer. Music will be provided by the Cooper Family. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday, prior to the service. The committal and entombment will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 10, in the Mausoleum at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Jim Cooper, Johnnie Wiseman, Dan Wiseman, Randy English, Terry Williams and Fransco Garland. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Lower Shell Creek Christian Church and Valley Forge Christian Church. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:50 p.m. Saturday. The family would like to especially thank the staff of Pine Ridge Health and Rehab Center and Sycamore Shoals Hospital for the care and love shown to Lloyd and his family.
