New Liberty
New Liberty Freewill Baptist Church continues its month-long celebration of Christ’s birth Sunday during the 11 a.m. worship service as Laura Coleman, Joy Shoun, and Kennedy Morelock will sing Christmas music selections followed by a message from the pastor, Rev. Nick Colbaugh.
During the 6 p.m. worship service, Andy and Monica Hardin will sing Christmas music selections and Callie Hardin will play piano Christmas music selections, which will be followed by a Christmas program entitled “J is for Jesus” presented by the New Liberty Kids.
Rev. Nick Colbaugh invites everyone to attend both of these services uplifting Christ’s birth.
The church is located at 113 Peters Hollow Road near the Stoney Creek Volunteer Fire Department.

Willow Springs
The adult choir of Willow Springs Baptist Church will present the cantata, “The First Noel,” Sunday, Dec. 9, during the morning service.
Sunday school will begin at 9:45 a.m. and the worship service will begin at 10:45 a.m. with the cantata at 11 a.m.
The choir is directed by Bobby Smith.
Dr. Kenneth Jordan is pastor.
Everyone is invited to attend.

Doe River
The Recovery Soldiers will minister Sunday at the 11 a.m. service at Doe River Baptist Church.
Following the service a holiday meal will be enjoyed.
Doe River Baptist is located at 113 Avon St. The Rev. Daniel Fink is pastor.

Redeemer Lutheran
Redeemer Lutheran Church will hold its Advent Service on Wednesday, Dec. 12, and Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 7 p.m., and also on Monday, Christmas Eve, at 11 p.m.
The church is located at 234 West G St., Elizabethton.
Everyone is invited to attend.

Grace Baptist
Surviving the Holidays for Divorce Care will be held Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church. Meetings are held in the annex house beside the church.
The youth of the church will go Christmas caroling Dec. 12 at 6 p.m.
The Children’s Choir will present “Straight Outta Bethlehem” Sunday, Dec. 16, at 6:30 p.m. with a reception to follow.

ETCHA Celebration
The Carter County Christian Men’s Fellowship will host “Home for the Holidays,” Saturday, Dec. 8, at 6 p.m. at First Christian Church, Elizabethton.
The program will be a celebration of the ministry of the East Tennessee Christian Home and Academy, and will include a history of the home in addition to a look at its future.
Music for the evening will be provided by Tony Rominger, Katie Miller, and Marlene Vance. The prelude will be given by Scott Reynolds.
A love offering will be received for East Tennessee Christian Home and Academy.

Crossroads Christian
The combined choirs of Boones Creek Christian Church and Crossroads Christian Church invite the public to The Worship of Christmas — Celebrate the Miracle on Sunday, Dec. 9, at 6 p.m. at Crossroads Christian Church, 1300 Suncrest Drive, Gray (next to Daniel Boone High School), and on Wednesday, Dec. 12, at 7 p.m. at Boones Creek Christian Church, 305 Christian Church Road, Gray (beside Cracker Barrel).
The Worship of Christmas is full of passionate, worshipful music that will provide the meaningful moments you need to create your Christmas celebration this year.

Watauga Valley
The Watauga Valley Golden Group will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, for its last session until spring.
The meeting will consist of singing, a message from the Bible, and lunch.
The pastor, the Rev. Bill Greer, invites seniors from the community to attend.

Biltmore Baptist
In God’s Hand, A Blacklight Christmas Program, will be presented Sunday at 6 p.m. at Biltmore Baptist Church.
Members of the group include Heather Noel, Brittany Heaton, Jamie Morley, Penny Estep, Jessica Campbell, Jen Barrett, and Director Debbie Heaton. They are members of Dungan Chapel Baptist Church.
The public is invited to attend.

Valley Forge Free Will
“Angels Say What?,” a Christmas musical, will be presented Sunday at 6 p.m. at Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church.
The pastor is the Rev. Randy Johnson, and he and the congregation invite the public to attend.

Siam Baptist
The children’s choir of Siam Baptist Church will present the musical “Joseph, From the Pit to the Palace” Sunday evening at 6 p.m. The musical, created and written by Jimmy and Gail Getzen, teaches about the godly character God wants to develop in each of us — integrity, faith, courage, endurance, humility, compassion, and forgiveness.

First Presbyterian
The pastor, Dr. Brian Wyatt, will present the message Sunday at morning worship. His sermon is titled “For Such A Time As This” based on scripture from Esther 4: 1-17.
The service begins at 11 a.m.
An Education Hour for all ages will be held at 9:45 a.m.
Other opportunities for the week include Meditation at 7 p.m. Wednesday; the Thursdays with Jesus Reading Group from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday; exercise class Tuesday and Thursday from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m.; and yoga from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. Friday.
