Hampton, Cloudland Elementary split wins

Hampton and Cloudland clashed in middle school basketball play with each team walking away with a win in varsity play as the Jr. Lady Highlanders and the Jr. Bulldog boys each claimed a win.

Hampton 23

Cloudland’s girls took the opening game with a 6-point win over the Jr. Lady Bulldogs as K. Baldwin led her team with 7 points in the contest.

A trio of Jr. Lady ‘Landers scored five including K. Birchfield, S. McKinney, and I. Christman.

Kenzie Ramey scored 12 points to lead Hampton in the defeat. Shania Pierce totaled 3 points as well for the Jr. Lady ‘Dogs.

The Jr. Bulldogs had little problem in taking care of business with a dominating 50-13 win over the Jr. Highlanders in boy’s action.

Nine Hampton players scored in the contest as Austin Bentley led all Jr. ‘Dogs with 12 points. Jonathon Greenwell dropped in 8 points while Cadon Buckles added 7 and Brady Hicks tallied 6 points.

Dylan Trivett (5), Dalton Nave (4), Ty McElyea (4), Hayden Campbell (2), and Geno Carrico (2) closed out the scoring for Hampton.

Clark scored 8 points for Cloudland with Ingram and McKinney scoring 3 and 2 points respectively.
