Daisy Rasnick Ornduff, 79, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 4, 2019, from Johnson City Medical Center. Daisy was born in Elizabethton to the late James and Ethel Spears Rasnick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Ornduff, in November 2018.
Daisy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had worked as a machine operator and was of the Baptist faith. Daisy enjoyed being outside and sewing, but most of all she enjoyed being with her family and loved ones.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Kim Ornduff of Johnson City; her daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and Charlie Berry of Elizabethton and Teresa and John Belcher of Bristol, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Cody Buckles of Charlotte, N.C., Lisa Moore and Melissa Nelson, both of Bristol, Tenn., Cydney Robertson of Elizabethton and Emma Ornduff of Johnson City; and two great-grandchildren, Madison Moore and John Nelson, both of Bristol, Tenn.
A service to celebrate the life of Daisy Rasnick Ornduff will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Dr. James Richardson officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service. The graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 9, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Mark Ornduff, John Belcher, Danny Ornduff, Benjamin Moore, Glen Reece and Cody Buckles. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday to go in procession. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Charles Berry and the Berry family for all the love and care they have shown to Mrs. Ornduff during her illness.
