In the most contested game of the night, the Cloudland Elementary Jr. Lady Highlanders pulled off a 40-33 double-overtime win over Hampton for the Area 1-A Championship Tuesday.

Cloudland was led by a big, 18-point game from Sarharra McKinney. McKinney was followed up by teammate Izabella Christman who had ten.

Also scoring for the Jr. Lady Highlanders was Ella Benfield (5), Katie Baldwin (4), and Kendall Birchfield (3).

For Hampton, Kenzie Ramsey totaled 11 points while Linsey Jenkins had eight. Also for the Jr. Lady Bulldogs, Shania Pierce had six, while both Chloe Watson and Bre Davis both had four points each. Taylor finished with one.
